February 4, 2022 by Denise Urban, BeneficiaryHello A-Team,
Happy February and with it here comes the snow!
It feels like the pace of activities has really picked up in our household. I have some very happy and exciting news to report- Autumn was able to see the Lion King performance at the Detroit Opera house last week. We are enormously grateful to the Shedneck foundation, an organization of six men that are dedicated to creating magical and memorable experiences for local teens diagnosed with cancer. Not only did she have front row seats, sitting next to her boyfriend and two friends- they were also chauffeured by limousine, dined at a fancy Italian restaurant and had a professional photographer take pictures. The cherry on top was delivered the next day in the form of a Zoom visit with two of the Lion King performers. The Shedneck Foundation went above and beyond and their dedication was evident throughout all the planning for this event. I think her glowing smile in the pictures I've attached attests to the tremendous success of their efforts. Our deepest gratitude to this amazing non-profit!
· An amazing group, Shedneck Foundation, treated Lane and Abigail Siddall to a VIP afternoon. They got to visit Stock X, have a nice dinner, then experience The Weeknd like nobody else! Lane has more photos from the concert, so I need to post some of those, too. Meanwhile, check this out! What an amazing foundation and just all-round great group of people. We have enjoyed getting to know them and already feel like family.
· On Wednesday, Lane Kleinglass had his Warrior Event. Thanks to Mike Steckel for organizing, and Sadelle Moore from StockX. Evening continued with sushi for dinner, and then off to VIP Lounge & front row tix for The Weeknd !!!
On Tuesday, September 26th one of our illustrious VP's Vince Kretschmer visited Rob Bovitz (the host that evening) and the Boys and Brews guys at his house for some camaraderie, enjoy a few delicious beers, and to receive a wonderful donation. These fine gentlemen have raised thousands of dollars and donated to many Michigan charities over the years. This particular year the Shedneck Foundation was the latest recipient of an amazing $1000.00 donation from they Boys and Brews guys. BOYS and BREWS was formed to create a social network of guys that would get together on a regular basis. We will be meeting at our host's home to spend a couple hours with our friends and enjoy a beer or two in the process. We are not selling anything or promoting any causes other than the charities that we choose to support. Thanks again to the guys from Boys and Brews for the wonderful donation.
The Belleville Tiger Volleyball program wanted to continue to support the endeavors of the Shedneck Foundation. Our awesome fifth Warrior Peyton Mann was an amazing volleyball player at Belleville Highschool and is an alumni of the team that graduated in 2022. We greatly appreciate the continued support from The Mann family and from our friends in the Belleville Community especially this completely unexpected and wonderful donation from The Belleville Tigers Highschool Volleyball program. We (the Shedneck Foundation) can not continue our mission without the support of our communities. This meant a lot to us and we are extremely happy that VP Vince Kretschmer and CFO Mike Sheppard were able to be on hand to accept the donation from Matt Mann (father of Peyton Mann). Hats off to you Belleville Tigers. GO TIGERS!!!!!
